Maxxed Rize: Shooting Issue

Marker will not fire or has a problem firing. Check the items below. Reference the manual if needed.

Issue:
Aired Up with No Leaks & Won't Fire:
  • Battery:
    • Start with a new battery as an old one can cause issues with firing the marker.
  • Eyes:

    • Check the eyes on your marker and make sure they along with your eye pipe are clean.

    • Functionality can be checked after cleaning by powering up the marker and placing a finger in the feedneck and checking for changes in the eye light. If no change, remove your grip and confirm the connector (left side - 4 wires) is fully seated.

  • On/Off:

    • Verify the on/off air port connector is turned on

  • If you have Bolt Stick

    • Remove the Fuse bolt and lube all o-rings with Dye Slick lube.

  • Trigger:

    • Remove your grip and verify that all three connectors are fully seated. The solenoid connector is on top (2 wires) and sits in the blue connector

    • Next, verify the trigger is making contact with and engaging the microswitch. If your marker is on, you should hear the solenoid click.

  • Board Settings:

    • Dwell: Check your dwell and try resetting back to the factory default setting of 40ms

Marker Fires with low first shot:
  • Battery:

    • Start with a new battery as an old one can cause issues with firing your marker

  • Dwell:

    • Dwell is set to low. Check your dwell and try resetting back to the factory default setting of 40ms

  • Bolt:

    • Remove the Rize bolt and lube all o-rings with Dye Slick lube

  • Hyper3:

    • Verify that your Hyper3 reg is supplying enough air pressure to your marker

    • If you’re unsure, degas your marker and turn the adjustment screw in (clockwise) until you feel some resistance

    • Now turn it to the stock setting of 2 1/2 turns out/counter-clockwise

    • From there, keep turning out a quarter turn at a time and chrono it to the desired velocity.

      • Note: Don't go above 300fps

    • If it's been more than 60k shots or 6months since you replaced your reg seat, try replacing it (small black plug within the adjustment screw).

      • Note: There's a hole on the allen key side of the adjustment screw. Use a small allen key or metal pick to push out the reg seat. It takes at least 2000 shots to break in the reg seat.

Marker Breaking Paint:
  • Eyes:

    • Check the eyes on your marker and make sure they are on and functioning correctly. Also look into the feed neck and verify the eye sensors are not being blocked by paint or debris

  • Detents:

    • Remove your eye pipe and check your detents for excessive wear or damage and replace if needed

  • Paint:

    • Check that you have a good paint to barrel match and that you are using quality paintballs. Check out the video below

  • Bolt:

    • Remove your Rize bolt and check that the bolt tip oring is correctly installed
