G3: Frame Leak

If your marker is leaking from the frame. Check the items below. Reference the manual as needed.

Check Operating Pressure of OPR/HPR:
  • Verify that your Operating Pressure Regulator (aka OPR or HPR) is set correctly and not over-pressurizing your gun/solenoid. Turn the adjustment screw on the HPR clockwise to Decrease pressure and counterclockwise to Increase pressure. When increasing pressure, do it 1/8th of a turn at a time.

  • Separate the body and trigger frame by removing the front and rear trigger frame screws and unplug the eye wires and solenoid from the board. Leave the regulator/macroline/tank attached and air up your marker. If the leak is coming from your solenoid, remove the 4 screws from the non-red side using a 5/64" allen key. After removing, inspect the solenoid to body o-rings (#23 in the manual, solenoid is #20) for damage and replace if needed. Lube with Dow33 (or other recommended lube) before reinstalling.

    • #24 - Solenoid to Body o-rings: 2mm ID x 1mm CS  (x2)

Check the Solenoid:
Solenoid Spool/Piston O-Rings:
  • If the above doesn't resolve the leak, remove the piston from the solenoid (red side) using a flathead screwdriver and inspect the 4 piston o-rings (#31 in the diagram, piston is #32) for damage and replace if needed. Wipe it clean and lube with Dow33 (or other recommended lube) before reinstalling.

    • #31 - Solenoid Piston O-Rings: 2mm ID x 1mm CS  (x4)
