G5: Solenoid Leak

If your marker is leaking from the solenoid, check the items below. Reference the manual as needed.

Operating Pressure:
  • Verify that your High Pressure Regulator is set correctly and not over-pressurizing your gun/solenoid. Turn the adjustment screw on the HPR clockwise to Decrease pressure and counterclockwise to Increase pressure. When increasing pressure, do it 1/8th of a turn at a time.

  • In order to access the solenoid, you will first need to separate the body and trigger frame by removing the front and rear trigger frame screws (1: between the HPR and trigger 2: behind the back cap). Next, carefully unplug the eye wires and solenoid connectors from the board. Leave the regulator/macroline/tank attached and air up your marker. If the leak IS coming from the solenoid, this will make it easier to detect. If the leak is coming from your solenoid, remove the screws using a 5/64" allen key. After removing, inspect the solenoid to body o-rings (#24 in the diagram below, solenoid is #21) for damage and replace if needed. Lube with Dow33 (or other recommended lube) before reinstalling.

    • #24 - Solenoid to Body o-rings: 2mm ID x 1mm CS  (Gray - qty. 2)

Solenoid Spool/Piston O-Rings:
  • If the above doesn't resolve the leak, remove the spool/piston from the solenoid using a flathead screwdriver and inspect the spool/piston o-rings (#32 in the diagram above, spool/piston is #33) for damage and replace if needed. Wipe it clean and lube with Dow33 (or other recommended lube) before reinstalling.

    • #32 - Solenoid Spool/Piston o-rings: 2mm ID x 1mm CS  (Black - qty. 4)
