Vanquish GT: ASA/Regulator Leak

If your marker is leaking from the HPR. Check the items below. Reference the manual as needed.

First Things First:
  • Start by putting a couple drops of paintball gun oil in the ASA as this area can get dried out. Just be careful not to get it on the tank o-rings or you may have some trouble unscrewing the tank. Once connected, air up your marker & dry fire it a few times to test it out.

  • Before starting, make sure your air tank is providing enough air pressure to your marker and that the pressure reading from your display is below 200psi

  • If you still have the issue, remove your air tank and any paintballs within the marker. Degas your marker and make sure the pressure reading on your display now reads as, LOW.

Leaking Between ASA & Grip:
  • Using a 3/32 hex wrench, the regulator can be detached by removing the two mounting screws located on the bottom of the grip frame

  • Once removed, replace the o-ring that sits between the grip and the regulator. Lube with Dow33, reassemble and re-test for air leaks

    • 008 (Buna 70) - #50 Bottom of Grip to ASA

Leaking from the ASA/Regulator:
  • Check out the video or steps below for details on accessing and replacing the o-rings for your regulator

  • Start by unscrewing the adjustable knob/cap (#62 on the diagram) on the front of the regulator and then remove the disc and reg spring and set them aside

  • Next, using a 3/32 hex wrench, you'll want to remove the screw for the on/off lever (#82 on the diagram) at the bottom of the ASA

  • Once removed, you should be able to pull out the wedge pin (#80 on the diagram)

  • Using a half inch or 13mm socket, you'll want to remove the regulator nut (#76 on the diagram), located on the inside of the ASA where the tank connects. Note this should only be hand tight when reinstalled

  • Using a toothpick or small metal rod of some sort, insert it where the wedge pin was removed and push out the regulator seal pin (#74 on the diagram)

  • With the Reg pin removed, grab a 3mm hex key tool and unscrew (counter-clockwise) the silver screw/pin inside the reg. This will allow you to remove the regulator piston and 2nd spring. If needed, a toothpick can be used to push out the piston from the side where you removed the screw

  • Wipe down the various parts of the regulator, inspect the o-rings for damage and replace if needed (sizes included below if needed). Re-lube with Dow33

  • Reassemble your regulator and test fire it a few times to confirm there are no leaks

    • 006 (Buna 70) - #7 Regulator Seal Retainer (On/Off Pin)

    • 017 x2 (Buna 70) - #65 Piston Body

    • 1.5mm x 6.5mm (Buna 70) - #70 Regulator Seal Retainer
