Etek 5: Frame Leak

If your marker is leaking from the frame. Check the items below in the order shown, moving from one item to the next until the leak is gone. Reference the manual as needed.

Issue:
Adjust LPR Pressure:
  • Start by setting your LPR out pressure to it's factory default setting

    • Using a 1/8 inch hex key, turn the LPR adjuster screw (look for the hole above & in front of the SL4 reg) clockwise all the way. Next, turn it counter-clockwise one full turn

Rammer Assembly:
  • Remove your LPR, wipe it down & replace the o-rings listed below. Apply a small amount of Eclipse gun oil to each of the o-rings before reinstalling

    • Rammer Shaft (front): 010 NBR70

    • Rammer Shaft (bumper): 010 NBR70

    • Rammer Shaft (middle): 011 NBR70

Solenoid Inlet Barb & Hose:
  • Disassemble your marker exposing the solenoid (video below if needed) & be sure to disconnect the noid wires from the top spot on the board.

    • Check the manifold barb & confirm it's seated firmly then inspect your low pressure for damage and replace one or both if needed

Solenoid Gaskets:
  • You'll need to check that the solenoid gaskets (manifold & solenoid body) are seated correctly & not damaged. If this area looks ok, move on to the next step before re-assembling

    • Disassemble your marker exposing the solenoid (video below if needed). Disconnect the noid wires from the board & then remove the two M1.6x16 retaining screws (Phillips head) from the solenoid body

      • Remove the Manifold/Solenoid gasket, wipe it down, check it for damage & replace if needed. Apply a small amount of Eclipse grease before reinstalling & ensure it lays flat

    • Next, using a 5/64 hex key, remove the 3 M2.5x5 screws holding the manifold to the body.

      • Remove the Manifold/body gasket, wipe it down, check it for damage & replace if needed. Apply a small amount of Eclipse grease before reinstalling & ensure it lays flat

    • Clean the manifold area & ensure it's free of dirt & debris
