Ego11: Shooting Issue

Marker will not fire or has a problem firing. This assumes your gun is not currently leaking. Check the items below in the order shown. Reference the manual if needed.

Issue:
Aired Up with No Leaks & Won't Fire:
  • Battery: Make sure you start with a brand new battery in your gun as an old one will cause issues.

  • ASA/OOPS: Check that OOPS knob is fully twisted & the pin on your ASA is making contact with your air tank

  • Connectors: Check that all connectors going to the main board are properly seated (eyes & solenoid).

  • Paint: Verify that your eyes (BBSS) are on and that there's a paintball in the breech

  • Trigger: Turn on your gun with the eyes off, pull the trigger and confirm that the solenoid clicks. If it doesn't, make sure the trigger is making contact with your micro switch, unless you're using the Opto sensor. Reference pages 21 & 22 for trigger setup & adjustments. Reference page 27 of the manual for details on the Trigger Detection Indicator icons displayed on the Run Screen

  • Pressures

    • LPR: Start by setting your LPR output pressure to it's factory default setting

      • Using a 1/8 inch hex key, set the LPR adjuster screw to default by turning the adjuster screw outwards (counter-clockwise) until it's flush (in-line) with the front-most part of the LPR cap. Next, turn the adjuster screw 2 full turns inward (clockwise)

    • SL3 Inline Reg (HPR): Using a 1/8 inch hex key, turn the adjuster screw outward (counter-clockwise) to it's max out position. Next, turn the adjuster screw inward (clockwise) 4 1/2 turns

  • Dwell: Check your dwell and try resetting it back to the factory default setting of 15.5ms.

  • Solenoid: If the above do not fix your issue, your solenoid valve may need to be replaced. Start by removing your trigger frame and check the condition of the hose going into the solenoid. If it's fine, try replacing the solenoid valve

Marker Won't Turn On:
  • Moisture: If your marker won't turn on & you've tried swapping the battery, the board may have a bit moisture on it, which will prevent it from powering on. Blow off the board with compressed air or let it dry out before trying to turn it on again.

Multiple Balls Fired on Single Shot:
  • Detents Sticking: Clean your detents with a cloth to prevent paintballs from catching on the detents. A small amount of grease can also be added to allow for easier passage

Marker Fires with Low First Shot:
  • Dwell: Check your dwell and try resetting back to the factory default setting of 15.5ms

  • Pressures: Try setting your regulators (HPR & LPR) to their default settings

Marker Fires Slowly:
  • Loader too Slow: A loader in need of new batteries or one that doesn't feed fast enough to keep up with your current rate of fire setting, can cause this issue

  • Solenoid Restrictors: The right-side of the solenoid valve includes two restrictors that control the exhaust flow from the Rammer (Backward - A & Forward - B) that can be accessed & adjusted by removing your grips. Once removed, you'll see them as two separate dials. Check that they are set to the following defaults.

    • Backward - A (Left): 7th tick mark

    • Forward - B (Right): 5th tick mark

Marker is Breaking Paint:
  • Eyes: Check the eyes (BBSS) and make sure they are on, clean, and functional

  • Detents: Check your detents for excessive wear/damage. Replace if needed

  • Breach: Inspect the breach to confirm there isn't any debris that would cause you to break paint

  • Bolt: Check the bolt to confirm it's clean, correctly installed & undamaged

  • Dwell: Check your dwell and try resetting back to the factory default setting of 15.5ms

  • LRP/HPR Pressures: Chrono your marker & confirm you're getting a consistent velocity. If not, adjust your LPR & HPR Regs as needed. Alternatively, you can set them to their default.

  • Paint: Make sure you're using good quality paintballs & that you have a good paint to barrel match. Check out the video below from hustle paintball on getting a good paint to barrel match.
