Ego LV1.6: Regulator Leak

If your marker is leaking from the SL3 Inline Regulator or LPR, check the items below. Reference the manual as needed

Issue:
First Things First:
  • Degas & power off your marker

SL4 Inline Regulator:
  • Remove the SL4 Inline regulator by first unscrewing the AT pipe then removing it from the reg body.

  • Remove the bottom portion of the grip cover & unscrew the bottom cap, which should also allow you to pull off the swivel

  • Next, pull down firmly on the bottom portion of the grip to remove it, which will also require a squeeze halfway down to get it past the reg

  • Before unscrewing the reg, wipe it down to help gripping it, then unscrew from the body

  • Using a 1/8 inch hex key, turn the adjuster all the way in (clockwise) & push down once passed the threads, which will remove the guts of the reg

  • separate the adjuster top and bottom, then wipe everything down to remove any old grease

  • Next, visually inspect the internal o-ring located inside the adjuster top & replace if needed. If you're unsure, save yourself some time & replace this o-ring. Tip: If you'd rather inspect it first, use your phone's camera to take a pic of the o-ring & zoom in to check it out. I'd recommend being in a lighted area and turning the flash on. This might take a few tries.

  • Inspect the remaining o-rings & replace as needed. My recommendation would be to replace them all.

  • Additionally, you can remove & flip your reg seal over to the fresh side if you haven't done it previously.

  • Be sure to use a small amount of Eclipse grease when lubing o-rings before re-assembling

  • All o-rings NBR70 unless otherwise stated

    • Piston o-ring:  14x2

    • Adjuster Top (external): 011

    • Adjust Top (Internal): 008

    • Adjuster Botton: 011

    • Reg Body Swivel: 015 (x2) NBR60

    • AT Pipe Nut: 007

    • AT Pipe: 007 (x2)

  • Default Setting:

    • Using a 1/8 hex key, turn the velocity adjuster screw 5 complete turns clockwise from it’s fully screwed-out position

  • Removal: In order to inspect your LPR, follow the steps listed below. Be sure to use a small amount of Eclipse grease when lubing o-rings before re-assembling

  • Remove the SL4 Inline regulator then the tuning fork

  • You should now be able to remove the LPR by pulling it out along with the spring & Piston

  • Wipe down the components & check the internal LPR body o-ring & the reg seat (located inside the LPR body). Apply a small amount of Eclipse grease to each of the o-rings before reinstalling. LPR o-ring sizes are included below
